RONGOA / MIRIMIRI CLINIC

Ngā Kākano is very pleased and excited to offer Mirimiri to our patients/clients delivered by our very own Rongoa/Mirimiri Practitioner – Ripeka Armstrong.

Ripeka is a qualified practitioner who is also ACC accredited which enables her to provide care to patients that have been referred by their GP due to an accident injury.

Ripeka’s all-round holistic approach includes the use of our local Taiao using traditional rongoā to make their own products which are used in their treatments.

Services include:

  • Mirimiri massage
  • Romiromi (deep tissue)
  • Alternative healing
  • Rongoa (bush medicine)

Traditional Māori healers (Tohunga) used Mirimiri as a means of healing injuries, releasing old tensions, and balancing bodily function. It is thought that pain can be indicative of unresolved historic; past or current issues and not necessarily clinical.

This service is strictly by appointment only via referral.

You can self-refer to this service by clicking on the below button and one of our kaimahi will be in contact with you to arrange and appointment.
